WHAT ARE DRY ICE MACHINES?

Creates a dense white smoke that stays low and hugs the floor; generally staying below 60cm. It will wrap over and around short objects and even flow down the stage and stairs giving a very magical feel of walking on clouds. The effect is visibly similar to a Low Fog Machine but differs in machine size, run-time/ duty cycle and how long the effect lasts or ‘hang time’

WHEN TO USE DRY ICE MACHINES?

Dry Ice Machine is great effect for a first dance at a wedding, a bride and groom/key person entry or creating a foggy or mystical set for a theatrical performance. The effect leaves no residue or smoke after it is switched off and is limited to approximately 2 minutes of use. Since the fog stays low, its a safer to use effect with regards to triggering smoke alarms

WHERE TO POSITION DRY ICE MACHINES?

Generally, the dry ice machine is placed beside the stage, dancefloor or the area it is meant to cover and is best used indoors or typically in less wind. A dry ice machine is much smaller than a low fog generator, so it can be tucked away and then moved to the stage or dancefloor for use and then moved back to its position away from audience view.

WHAT IS THE COVERAGE OF DRY ICE MACHINES?

The dry ice machine effect lasts 2 minutes after which it needs to re-heat for 20 minutes. It is however a scalable effect; by increasing the number of machines, you can increase the surface area to be covered. Number of machines and surface area covered depends on several factors. It will wrap over and around short objects and even flow down the stairs giving a very magical feel of walking on clouds. The effect is visibly similar to a Dry Ice Machine but differs in machine size, run-time/ duty cycle and how long the effect lasts or ‘hang time’

Low fog is great effect for a bride and groom/ key person entry, a first dance at a wedding, using it as a fog curtain or creating a mystical set for a theatrical performance. The effect will leave the smoke at a low level even after the machine is turned off and is great for where the effect is required for longer durations.

Generally, the low fog generator is placed on the floor beside stage or the area it is meant to cover and is best used indoors or typically in less wind. A low fog generator is relatively much bigger in size than a dry ice machine and stays in one position throughout the event, generally away from audience view. A duct is then placed to route the low fog to the desired area
